One day, I received a phone call from a casting agent, a call that would bring opportunities recognized by my success in entrepreneurial development and authorship. The next thing I knew, Jason and I were on a flight headed to Miami, FL. That moment, I stared at myself in the mirror and said, “I am living the experience I once dreamed of,” as I glanced up at my name dazzling in the lights. The light shinning down on this new version of myself. All because I decided my story was worth sharing and my path of healing was waiting for me to take my first steps.

The invitation to be featured in this documentary about women who had done the work, built a business from the ground up, fought through all the ups and downs, all while maintaining a successful home life... I was incredibly honored, humbled and inspired to share my story with the world. During the filming, I shared intimate details of my journey and successes as well as my failures that were the stepping stones leading me to this exact moment.

I honor this new version of myself by reflecting on the journey that made me who I am today. Not only am I excited for the release of my episode of Women In Power, but I am also introducing my new book Reclaiming My Soul, A Memoir of Faith, Resilience and Becoming the Person You Were Always Meant to Be.
